the technology

By attacking the factors that cause noise in the physical layer, Nexus addresses the reach problem that the DSL standards can't address digitally.

"I've been watching the reads on customers we have connected up. They all have been staying rock steady with the signal to noise ratio. All of them have been happier with their service."
-- Dave Hayes, Telco Field Manager
Ontario & Trumansburg

Nexus® works with the DSL standard by reducing noise on the line at the physical layer. With less noise on the line DSL can operate far more efficiently.

Of all existing DSL extenders, only Nexus attacks reach and bandwidth limitations in this direct manner, ensuring that every DSL installation works in a reduced noise environment.

With Nexus, you can expect to achieve an ADSL data rate of one megabit per second at a range of five miles (8 kilometers), while for ADSL2+ and VDSL equivalent improvements can be expected. Nexus has succeeded in providing a reliable DSL connection at a distance of 32,000 feet. That's 6.1 miles, and Nexus allowed a clear voice signal over the same pair.
